Hot Water Systems

An alternative to the direct flame burner, our Hot Water Systems (HWS) are the green choice as a heat source to fulfill your drying needs. Specifically designed for seed dryers the HWS demonstrates several advantages over traditional gas-fired heating systems including Reduced Toxic Emissions and Increased Fuel Efficiency.

Designed to be both modular and scalable, this system has a plug and play feature that simplifies installation and allows it to be configured in multiple ways. The three main skids used in our HWS design are the Pump Skid, the Hot Water Heating Skid and the Heater-Pump Combination Skid.

The Pump Skid distributes the heated water throughout the dryer making it available to the heating coils that are located at each bin inlet. An adjustable water valve controls the flow of water through the coils which in turn determines the temperature of the air passing the coils fins. Other advantages include Achievable Zero Heat Input and Uniformly Heated Air.

The Hot Water Heater Skid maintains the water temperature of the system. Multiple hot water heaters are connected with a cascading design activating different heaters when more heat is needed and deactivating some when they are not. Some advantages include Incremental Use of Heaters and Optimized Fuel Efficiency.

The Heater-Pump Combination Skid combines the Heater and Pump Components into one single skid for systems designed for systems with smaller heat requirements such as box dryers and other research dryers. The Combo-Skid is the preferred product when the heating requirements can be achieved using a single water heater.
